State Election Commission director Fakhrul Razi Ab Wahab said: “We collected RM7,820 from the sale of 87 parliamentary and 304 state seat nomination forms. The forms cost RM20 a set.”
He said Umno had bought the most with 206 state and 59 parliamentary seat forms, followed by Pas, which had bought 65 state and 17 parliamentary seat forms.
“PKR bought 19 state and three parliamentary seat forms.”
He said the remaining 13 state and eight parliamentary seat forms were bought by individuals who wanted to stand as independent candidates.
Fakhrul said the forms could be used for future elections if the EC did not issue any new or amended format.
“The forms were not printed just for the 13th General Election. They can still be used if there are by-elections or even in the next general election.”
